Biofuel

a fuel that is made from living things or their waste

Example: The biofuel that I buy yesterday is good.

Discard

to throw something away or get rid of it because you no longer want or need it:

Example: Discarded food containers and bottles littered the streets.

making or likely to make a profit

Example: Over the years it has developed into a highly profitable business.

Recover

to become successful or normal again after being damaged or having problems

Example: It took a long time for the economy to recover after the slump.

Recycle

to sort and collect rubbish in order to treat it and produce useful materials that can be used again

Example: The Japanese recycle more than half their waste paper.

Reuse

to use something again:

Example: To conserve resources, please reuse this carrier bag.

waste material or things that are no longer wanted or needed.

Example: I forgot to put the rubbish out this morning.

to get rid of something that is no longer useful or wanted, often using its parts in new ways

Example: Hundreds of nuclear weapons have been scrapped.

the way in which things are organized or arranged
